Recently .com.au domain name registrations reached the 2 million mark. Australian website owners have purchased almost 250 000 domain names in the past financial year alone …

why?

Naturally there is the organic growth of the number of websites being built, however secondly Australian businesses are becoming more savvy in their on-line presence and are purchaing multiple, keyword rich, domain names for their websites.
Business are rushing to reserve keyword rich domain names, which enormously assist a website’s page ranking in the search engines and therefore are being used by Australian businesses as an effective Search Engine Optimisation tool.
